History of our english factory, where Jane have been produced
Boots and shoes have been made at our supplier in England utilizing various construction methods, including riveted and stitched, adhesives, vulcanized and lastly goodyear welted, which is the preferred and current method of construction. In the 1950s Austrian Dr. Maerten (subsequently anglicised to Dr Marten) and his partner Mr. Funck created the now famous cushion sole. Shoe manufacturer R. Griggs Group Ltd. had the of the exclusive rights to manufacture the boots but did not have the technology. He therefore sought out the finest factories to manufacture his footwear using this air cushion sole.
Our supplier is combining 130 years of tradition and tooling, the latest technology and materials and their adaptability they will continue to produce hand-made boots and shoes in a village factory.
Their famous production standards has secured a reputation with retailers and discerning customers, as the premium air-cushioned product.

The BLOODY GOOD GUYS fitting is more on the SMALLER SIDE, we advise you to get a size BIGGER than our usual and add an extra inside sole for more comfort...Or you can go for your usual size if you like to wear them more snug and tight.

We recommend to only use products that are meant for microfiber and synthetic Leather. Clean the upper part of your shoes, use a soft brush (or Toothbrush) and brush the shoes gently after the rain or once a month to get the dust and dirt out of them, that will keep them "looking good".
Wash separately the removable sole with cold water. If you need new cleaning products, check our approved line of bio cleaning products and deo Kaps.
